Deep Fog
Krzysztof Kotliński (Deep Fog) is a DJ and music producer from Jarosław, Poland. Music has been part of his life since childhood – first through pop, and later through more sophisticated sounds. The turning point came in 1999, when he heard William Orbit’s “Barber’s Adagio for Strings.” That experience opened his mind to new genres and set him on a path toward electronic music. A major influence came from Sunshine Live Radio, which fueled his passion for creating his own unique sound, centered around progressive trance. Another milestone was Paul Oakenfold’s album Great Wall (2003), which helped solidify his musical identity. In 2006, he began producing his own tracks, with early works recognized by Angelo Mike and featured on the Poland Calling compilation. A year later, he joined Mistique Music, where his debut album Wave was released in 2012. His next LP, Whisper of the Heart (Soundteller Records, 2013), gained strong recognition within the progressive scene. His DJ sets have been featured on leading radio stations such as Frisky Radio, Pure FM, and HouseRadio. In 2013, Krzysztof formed a duo with Cream, taking charge of the music production and creative direction that defined their signature sound. Their tracks have been released on respected labels such as Particles, Stellar Fountain, Soundteller, Balkan Connection, Armada Digital, and Sony BMG. In 2016, the duo won a remix competition for the legendary Moonbeam, and their productions have been supported by names like Hernán Cattáneo, Chicane, Gai Barone, and Armin van Buuren. The single “Kiki” reached #1 on Poland’s FTB chart. Around that time, Deep Fog shifted toward a more club-oriented trance sound — with tracks “Rise” and “Takeover” reaching #1 and #3 on FTB, also featured in sets by Markus Schulz and Paul van Dyk. In 2020, the duo released their joint album Two Mountains (Ride Recordings), which received broad support from top artists across the scene. Another milestone came in 2022, when their remix for Maor Levi – Am I Dreaming took 3rd place out of 600 entries in an international competition. Today, Deep Fog’s music is released on labels such as Armada Digital, Sony BMG, Ride Recordings, Soundteller Records, Cloudland Music, Entrancing Music, and many more — continuing his journey through the deep and melodic side of electronic music.
